If you’re reading this, I think I should inform you that I don’t have anything profound to say. Starting this blog is something more of a exercise in keeping a journal rather than a burning desire to share my life with the world. In the past when I’ve had to journal (both times as course requirements) I found the exercise to be tedious. But there is something about a computer and the internet that makes it not seem so boring. So if you’re still reading I’ll give you a brief idea of what the expect.
I’ve recently started using Livestrong to keep track of my daily caloric intake, exercise, and weight loss. As of today I’m three pounds down, which included hitting a fairly major milestone. The idea of having somewhere to put my thoughts and share my progress (and I’m sure setbacks) is pretty appealing.
I love to cook, and with this new way of eating comes lots of new recipes. For me this includes taking recipes I find and adapting them because I’m allergic to wheat and tomatoes. So if you’re interested in gluten free recipes that I’ve tried and tested, then you might what to check back every once in a while.
I’m also slightly embarrassed to admit this, but I’m a fangirl of Richard Armitage. This would be clear to anyone who looked at the first few entries in my Netflix instant queue–Spooks, North & South, Robin Hood, George Gently. Then there are the audiobooks on my I Pod. Almost daily I find myself lurking at blogs devoted to the man (I think I may have just delurked). Now I know if you’re an American you are probably thinking, “Who in their right mind is a fan of Richard Armitage!” I’m not talking about the US politician, but the incredibly talented and incredibly attractive British actor. So, he’ll probably be mentioned fairly frequently, because his work makes me happy.
Well other than that, I love to read, so there may be the book review. World events interest me. I can get pretty heated about politics, so there may be the occasional soap box moments. Ultimately, who knows-hence the blog name.
