Okay, so I know RichLee shipping isn’t popular among certain segments of the fandom. And I think we can all agree that private pictures should remain private. But I made this edit of the wallpaper in the previous post for a friend and have been encouraged to post it for any shippers out their who would like to have it. Besides, their poses work soooo well for this graphic! And seriously, friends go dancing together too!!!

For the RichLee Shippers Out There
Get Down Tonight
It’s been a while since these photographs by the very talented Sarah Dunn came out:
For some reason the Richard Armitage one popped into my head today and I saw him out on a dance floor getting his groove on. It’s been a while since I did much in Photoshop, but my fingers were itching and my brain wouldn’t let it go. So I made a little wallpaper that I thought I’d share.
Anyone up for a dance party? 😉
RA as Batman?
My Tweetdeck is full of links to articles which include Richard Armitage in various lists of those best suited to play the next Batman. I’m actually kind of excited about the prospect of a Superman/Batman movie. And the logo that’s been revealed is pretty freaking awesome:

That said, I have some serious reservations about Richard Armitage in this role. I saw where someone mentioned that Batman did great things for Christian Bale’s career and I’m in full agreement there. But the Batman franchise had no where to go but up when Christian Bale took on the role. The previous live action incarnation of the character was played by George Clooney in the much maligned Batman and Robin–a film which audiences gave only a 25% approval rating on Rotten Tomatoes. When fans are that harsh, you know a film is awful.
Richard Armitage or anyone taking on the role now, is stepping into a completely different situation. Now we’ve had three Batman films staring Christian Bale and directed by the amazing Christopher Nolan. Not only did fans love the films, but critics did as well. They’ve set a precedent for what we expect when we go to see a new Batman flick. And to be honest, although I like Zack Snyder’s films (300, Watchmen) I don’t know that I trust him to bring it like Nolan did when it comes to Batman.
So here’s my vote for what it’s worth (which I know isn’t much):
I hope Richard Armitage steers clear of this role. There are plenty of interesting characters out there to play and I strongly suspect that his portrayal of the character would always be compared to Bale’s. Of course, if he does end up playing the Caped Crusader I will be in the audience. But here’s hoping he goes another direction.
Ebb and Flow
Ebb and flow seems to be a good description of my life as a fangirl. There are times when I’m exuberant. Times I not only want, but seem to need the shared experience with other fans–the reassurance that although the journey is different for each of us, we’re all in the same boat. Not to mention the joint enthusiasm when new photos, interviews and such are released. Then there are times that I’m more withdrawn. I still look with pleasure and watch with rapture but the desire to share the experience is low or even non-existent. I simply have nothing to say or contribute to the conversation and all of my enjoyment is this internalized thing and there just aren’t any words.
In case you can’t tell by the lack of posts here of late, I’m feeling rather withdrawn. But I did make a new wallpaper today with the most recent Robert Ascroft photo and I thought I would share:
Hopefully I’ll be back to my more lively, engaged self soon. But it the meantime, I hope y’all enjoy the wallpaper.
I’m a bad, bad girl…
but really, putting a watermark over Richard Armitage’s mouth! Who does that?
So yeah, I’m a bad, bad girl and I did my best to liberate that gorgeous mouth from obtrusive text. 😉
Ah…not perfect, but much better. 🙂
