30 Days of Richard Armitage-Day 30

Your favorite picture:

Here we are, the end of the 30 day challenge. There are plenty of fans who don’t like the beard, and I say to each their own. I however, am firmly in the beard lover camp! And I LOVE everything about this particular picture. The cropped hair, the pointy ears, the neatly trimmed beard, the piercing blue eyes-staring into the camera, that stance, the coat, the thighs in that tight denim…you’ll have to excuse me while I go cool off. Enjoy the pic.

I’ll be back tomorrow with a new chapter from Maggie & John: A Modern Love Story. Don’t forget it will be a password protected post. And the answer to the this question will be the password: What color is John Thornton’s cravat at the Thornton’s dinner party? See you tomorrow.

30 Days of Richard Armitage-Day 29

Your favorite personal look:

Are there any personal looks of Richard Armitage, that we fans are privy too? The closest I can think of are the photos of him leaving the BBC studios on a couple of different occasions. He does seem to favor a denim and leather combo…not that I have any complaints. 😉

And since I was loathe to pick just one image…

Thanks to RA Net for the pictures!

Your favorite character outfit:

When thinking about which was my favorite character outfit, my first thought was, “SCARF!” I actually had to go back and look at pictures of Richard Armitage as John Porter to see what other articles of clothing make up the rest of that outfit (hard work, I know). Apparently there is some khaki and a vest. Whatever, I came to the conclusion that he could be wearing ratty, stained up sweats for all I care! As long as he has that scarf on, it’s my favorite outfit. 🙂

Your favorite gif(s):

There are a lot of great gifs out there, but I’m going to bite the bullet and pick just a few. I love the gifs that ItsJSforMe has made and posted on her blog. She is great at coming up with hilarious captions! Here are a couple of my favorites:

My absolute favorite RA gif was made by bccmee (surprise, surprise)! After all, who doesn’t love a little glove porn? 😉

30 Days of Richard Armitage-Day 26

Your favorite website and/or blog:

My favorite Richard Armitage website has to be RA Net! I’m sure that you all are just like me…and head over there every day to see if there is any new news, and of course to see what the picture of the day is! On the off chance someone stops by here who hasn’t visited this wonderful site, check it out here.

As far as blogs go, I’m a bit of an addict. I love them all. But, if I had to pick a favorite I would have to go with Bccmee’s Richard Armitage Vids & Graphics. The gifs, videos, flash banners and interactive games she creates never fail to amaze me. Her’s is the blog I’m always most excited to visit, because you never know what she’ll have come up with next! She’s also been generous to create tutorials for making gifs…how cool is that!

An audio book you would like him to record:

We do have that small sampling of Richard Armitage reading a passage from North & South. But, I’m greedy and I want to hear him read the book in its entirety. 🙂

And since it is still Valentines Day where I live…here’s a video I enjoyed seeing thanks to a tweet by @CliveStanden.

A cameo role you would like to see:

Does he have any cameo appearances? Quite honestly, I don’t have any desire to see him make a cameo appearance. He has said himself that we’ll never see Richard Armitage appearing as Richard Armitage. I like that attitude. There are far to many actors who love the fame as much, or more than the work. Part of why I like RA so much is that he really does keep his life private–which keeps the mystery and by extension the fantasy alive. Also, I enjoy watching his interviews, largely because I like seeing the contrast between who RA appears to be versus the characters he portrays. But, when I watch him on screen, the magic is in how he so wholly becomes whatever character he is playing, so a cameo really holds no appeal for me.

Now, pictures of the man in real life…those I like!

A confession:

I know, I know, you’re hoping for something naughty here–sorry to disappoint you.

Here is my confession: As big a fangirl as I’ve become over Richard Armitage the actor…I think the most appealing thing about being his fan is the wonderful people I’ve come across in this community of fans. The intelligent, talented, funny and kind women who call themselves Richard Armitage fans have only fanned the flame of my interest in the man, himself.

Now, I think we need a picture…because let’s be honest, part of being an RA fan is about the ogling. 😉

Don’t you just love that smile!

Don’t forget to go and vote for your choice of song, in the previous post.

Your least favorite photo:

Someone mentioned this photo on Facebook recently. It provides evidence that an insanely attractive man can in fact look bad. Something about the angle of this photo makes his head look a bit large. And the shirt: that color is just horrible on him, and don’t you just love the creases from where the shirt was folded? 😉 Also, someone should have powdered his forehead…it’s a bit shiny.

Well, that was a depressing. I think we need another photo make up for it!

A role of his roles you haven’t seen, but would like to:

There are several roles of Mr. Armitage’s that I haven’t seen, and frankly those are the ones I don’t have enough interest in to shell out the money to see. So, I’m going to the future for this choice and saying I’m incredibly excited to see him as Thorin in The Hobbit! I’ve loved Tolkien’s wonderful stories since I was a teenager and LOTR marathons feature occasionally in my home. So, RA playing a major character in a movie I was already dying to see…yes please!

I know dwarves aren’t supposed to be sexy…

Update: Not that I expect anyone but me to care…but I just noticed that this is my 100th post!
