He Made the Main Page!

Several years ago I used to really enjoy going to IMDb.com and checking out “Born Today.” I didn’t do it everyday, but it was still fun to see what celebs had birthdays when. When I became a Richard Armitage fan I started checking on his birthday to see if he’d make the main/home page. Last year I was hopeful, after all he had been in Captain America and had The Hobbit coming out. No such luck, I had to click on “see all birthdays” and he was of course there, but just one name among the many listed.

But today:

Born Today IMDB

It’s a silly little thing, but it just one more thing to add the list of changes a year can make!

A bunch of items related to his birthday also made google alerts this year (didn’t happen last year iirc). Yay for such a successful year!

    • I noticed the Google alerts too! It’s like it really is a holiday this year, one that other people besides his fans actually know about. πŸ™‚

  2. It’s like he’s a … star … or something. Hear, that Richard? πŸ˜‰

Not just the main page but the first picture!! πŸ˜€ Makes me all misty eyed!

    • I know, Teuchter! I was so very excited when I saw that he was on the main page and the first one listed!!! I feel a little silly being so excited over that, but oh well. πŸ™‚

      • Teuchter

We’re just excited because he seems to finally be getting the attention he so RICHly deserves! πŸ˜‰

  7. Good catch, jasrangoon! I wouldn’t have noticed had you not mentioned it.

    • Thanks, bccmee. I wouldn’t have even thought to look if I hadn’t regularly checked out the page in the past.

  8. Oh wow, I didn’t even know this kind of thing existed. Great – certainly an indicator that things have changed for RA. Well spotted, Jas!

  9. Woo-hoo!!! πŸ™‚ Good catch, Jas!

  10. Very exciting news! It’s about time the world took notice! Thanks for sharing. πŸ™‚

  11. Yep, I noticed it too and that he was the first name!!! Yay!!! I was disappointed he wasn’t mentioned in the celebrity birthdays today in my newspaper – The Kansas City Star!!!
