All that beardy goodness!

I haven’t had much time for being on my computer the last week or two, but boy was I excited this morning when I checked out Twitter!!!! I sure everyone has seen the new photos by now (if not RANet has links to them). Out of curiosity, what does everyone think of his beard in these shots? I’m not sure about the slightly longer beard, but man oh man, all that gray is quite dashing!

Not a beard fan in general. But he still look lovely. In fact he reminds me a bit of gerard butler in one of those shots.

    • You know, when I first saw the DVD case for North and South, I thought he looked a bit like Gerard Butler, but once I watched it that impression left me.

    Mmmm. Beard.

  5. I’m not a beard fan in general – but I agree, the bits of grey make it quite compelling.

In fact, I don’t know how I’ve not noticed this before – but with the additional grey in the beard, he’s starting to resemble someone who was a very important mentor in my life! 🙂

    • That’s really interesting that he looks somewhat like a mentor you had (have). Maybe that is part of his appeal. The gray really does add character (not that he doesn’t have plenty to begin with).

Oh, and just so you know, I am working on that next chapter. Even though it is taking me forever, but I’ll finish it. I promise! 🙂

      • Yes, I agree – it’s a surprise I hadn’t noticed it before – it’s only the grey in the beard that triggered a recollection (they have similar coloring). My mentor was almost 50 when I met him in my early 20s. He had a beard (was also bald), and had a tremendous gravitas that was extremely stabilizing and grounding to be around.

It’s funny I never once wondered what he looked like when he was younger. After his funeral (he passed away at 53) I saw a picture of him when he was 20 (taken while he was rowing at Princeton). *gasp* I was stupefied by how beautiful he was in his youth. 😉

No rush on the next chapter. I’ll be ready to read it when you’re ready to release it to me. 🙂
