Armitage Mosaics

In case my post about being a polyamorous fangirl didn’t give you a hint, I’ve spent a lot of time lately looking at Tom Hiddleston stuff on the internet. This hasn’t left me much time for Richard Armitage…which isn’t really a big deal since there hasn’t been anything new of late. That being said, today I felt like reconnecting with my main fangirl squeeze. This involved cropping a lot of RA pictures…such a hard task that–looking at picture after picture of Richard Armitage. πŸ˜‰ Anyway, I found this fun program called AndreaMosaic and have been playing around with it. I still need to play with the advanced features to get the images just so, but I thought I would share what I’ve been doing.

Looks pretty sweet! May have to Hiddle myself one.

    • I seriously thought about making one with Hiddles and adding it to the post for the two of us! πŸ˜‰

This is fabulous, jas! I love it! Sorry, but I won’t be interested in the Hiddles one! πŸ™‚

    • They are really cool! (I feel like I can say that because the program does most of the work.) πŸ˜‰ You don’t have to be interested in the Hiddles one, we’ll love you anyway! πŸ˜‰

  3. Lovely! This would be a great idea for Fanstra next year- gather pics of RA fans and create a mosaic. I totally understand filling in the RA voids with some sexy replacements. I’ve glanced sidewards more than a few times in the last couple of months. I don’t think Richard minds. We have an open relationship- I let him sit in NZ and he doesn’t know I exist πŸ˜‰

    • I love your idea of using fan images for a FansRA post! That would be really neat. Fill-ins were to be expected for a lot of us with this ongoing drought. I’m amazed I lasted this long!

Have to say, I laughed out loud at your open relationship comment! It is sooo true that we spend all of this time on him and he doesn’t have a clue who we are…that actually works quite well for me! πŸ˜‰

      • Possibly the best relationship I’ve had in a while. Gives me plenty of room to do my own thing πŸ˜‰

  4. How cool is this?!? Love your mosaics! Thanks for sharing, Jas! Another fun toy to play with. πŸ™‚ *mumbles something about finishing her current project first* I’m curious…how many RA pix did you crop?

    • I’m glad you like them ItsJSforMe! The best part is that the program is free!!! I hope the current projects are going well. I always love to see what you come up with. πŸ™‚ I cropped somewhere around 125 pictures, so they are duplicated in the mosaics. Maybe at some point I’ll go back and do more, but that was more than enough last night. πŸ˜‰

  5. Such a fun outcome! Thanks for sharing your mosaics. πŸ˜€

    • Glad you like the outcome, bcc! I had fun making them, which was the main thing. πŸ™‚

  6. LOVE IT!! Really unique end product! It looks like you have mastered the program already! Thank you for posting some of your practice work! Have a good weekend!

    • Thanks Kate! I don’t know about mastered the program, but I am having fun playing. πŸ™‚

Lovely. The next step is that you make this into a puzzle and drive everyone crazy. πŸ™‚

My mom and I have been doing a puzzle like this with Lincoln as the main image and tiny little pictures of scenes from the mid-nineteenth century as the micro-images. It is taking us hours and hours and hours (1,000 pieces).

    • Servetus, that sounds like a nightmare of a puzzle! πŸ˜‰

My mom likes to work jigsaw puzzles as well and she always manages to pick the hardest ones she can find. The last one being of the Petrified Forest from our trip. It took three adults and a four year old a lot of hours to complete it. I might be more inclined to help with such a puzzle if the end result was RA though! πŸ™‚

i think if you do a lot of puzzles, you enjoy the challenge. (As opposed to me doing them summers and vacations to be sociable.) I’m sure I’ll be much quicker by the end of the summer … πŸ™‚

  9. I love your Richard mosaics Jasrangoo, they are great, bravo !!! πŸ™‚

  10. These are fantastic!!! I just wish I could see them in close ups. May I ask what program you used for this?
    Thanks for sharing! πŸ™‚

    • Wait…nevermind – I figured it out. Very cool!

      • I’m glad you like them phylly! I think if you click on the picture you can make it bigger (I zoom in on my computer). Glad you figured out which program. πŸ™‚

Oops, no! I meant that I figured out how to enlarge the pictures. I still wonder which program you used though… ? ;o) Thanks!

  11. Sorry Phylly! The link for the program is in the paragraph about the mosaics. It is called AndreaMosaic. I hope this means we’ll get to see some fun mosaics from you! πŸ˜‰
