30 Days of Richard Armitage-Day 8

A scene of his that made you cry:

I have to confess…I have never been a Shakespeare fan. Quite frankly, I’ve just never understood what the big deal was (I know, I know). I saw ShakespeaRe-Told because it was available for streaming on Netflix and I thought, “What the heck”. I didn’t even know that Richard Armitage was in it, until I got to Macbeth. What a pleasant surprise. But, oh…the scene where Peter Macduff finds out that his family has been murdered was just heartbreaking. I thought Mr. Armitage played this well–the quiet grief–and yes, I cried.

  1. I loved ‘Shakespeare Retold’ and agree with you completely about this scene. I got all tearful as well.

    • For someone who doesn’t like Shakespeare in general, I really enjoyed all of ShakespeaRe-Told. And that scene…my eyes started watering just trying to get the little clip to put on YouTube.

  2. I’d forgotten about that. Yes, it made me cry too 😦 Good choice!

  3. Great choice!

I do like Shakespeare, but I thought all the Shakespeare Re-Told stories were great, and RA especially.
