Decorating the Wellington

I enjoy seeing all of the articles, tweets, photos and videos about the preparations going on in Wellington, NZ for The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey premiere. One of my favorite parts of all this is the time lapse videos.

First there was Gollum in the airport.

And then there was this video that Weta tweeted tonight of the Bilbo stamp and dwarf statues going up outside of the post office.

I wish we could see a video that details the creation of the statues. All of you fans that are heading to NZ for the premiere will have plenty of Hobbit related sights to photograph!

On a side note. To all of you on the East Coast, you are in my thoughts and prayers. I pray that you and your loved ones will remain safe as Sandy moves through and that you won’t suffer damage to your homes and possessions. Hugs.

I love that the New Zealand people and government have embraced all things Hobbity, they have really gone all out to make this a memorable experience for all travellers, Hobbit fans or not.
    Wellington truly is Middle Earth!

Also thinking of those affected by Hurricane Sandy, remember possessions can be replaced., loved ones cannot.
